There is a tendency in our society for men to isolate themselves and become “rugged individualists.” At Evergreen-Bloomington we believe that men are called to spiritual leadership and that this develops best in strong, godly relationships with other men in the church. Evergreen’s Men’s Ministry provides such an opportunity by focusing on what it takes to be a man who is growing spiritually and making a difference in our world. We trust God to grow our men primarily through relationships rather than activities. Discipleship relationships are our primary tool for growth.
Seminars or meetings with topics like purity, spiritual leadership, and passing the torch to the next generation occur throughout the year. Events are for all men at Evergreen—students, singles, married and their guests. For information on upcoming events check the announcements or contact Mike Olmstead, 952-564-3781.
Every second Saturday of the month (October-May), 8:00-10:00 AM, Room 200. Even with all the programs that churches across America are offering young people today, the ugly truth is we are failing miserably in our attempt to pass on our faith. George Barna’s recent research revealed that only 3 out of 10 young people growing up in evangelical, bible-believing churches stay faithful to church and faith throughout their transition from the teen years through their twenties. At Evergreen, we believe that the best way to keep our young people from reflecting this statistic is to focus on the head of the home, Dad, and build into him spiritually. Evergreen men gather for hard-hitting teaching that gives them tools to be the dad they are called to be. Join us in the battle for our families and link up with some men who can help you grow.
*January and February - Dad’s workshop will not be held in lieu of Dad’s Conference (Jan 21) and Marriage Conference (Feb 10th – Feb 11th).
