Women’s Ministry
God carefully and specifically made you in His image (Genesis 1:26 - 27) -- that makes you a Woman of Worth! Join other women at Evergreen-Bloomington in:
- Taking root in your relationship with God
- Growing your relationship with the Lord and other godly women
- Sowing in each others’ lives by sharing your life, gifts and experiences with other women, so that they may take root and grow also.
The mission of WOW is to help women grow in their faith and life, no matter what stage of faith and life they may be in currently. Each of us has worth, God-given gifts, and a purpose for life. Our desire is to provide opportunities through bible studies, mentoring and special events for women to know the Lord better, develop godly relationships with other women, and use the gifts we’ve all been given to serve our families, our church, our community and our world.
Growth Groups
At the heart of community and relationship building at Evergreen are Growth Groups. Go HERE to find out more. These are small groups of usually 8 -12 people who gather in homes to study the Word, share meals and live life closely with each other. Many wonderful friendships are developed in Growth Groups and we encourage everyone to become part of one. WOW activities are meant to enhance and supplement growth groups, not replace them. Watch the bulletin for registration which occurs 2- 3 times a year.
WOW Bible Studies
WOW sponsors an opportunity for Evergreen women to grow in their faith and friendships through a variety of in-depth Bible studies written by believers like Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Priscilla Shirer. There are normally two studies per year, each lasting 6 - 12 weeks. Each week, women gather to view a DVD and partake in small groups, discussing practical life application, combined with personal daily Bible study involving 30-45 minutes of homework. These studies help us to love and live God's word, and cultivate relationships through discussion groups. Check the church calendar or church news for an upcoming study.
