Men's Game Night - by Tyler Berglund

Why did you start a “Men’s Game Night?”

I had been wanting to get men together on a regular basis for a long time now, but I didn’t know how to make it happen. I was looking at the church bulletin a while back, and I noticed there were five upcoming events for women, but nothing in sight for men. I decided a game night was the best way to get men together for fun and  fellowship.

What kind of games will be offered?

All kinds of board and tabletop games! Whatever people bring! I’m bringing Codenames, Lords of Waterdeep, Settlers of Catan,

Mistborn:House War, and Small World. Bring anything you want to play, any ‘deck-building’ games, or just show up. We hope to add more to the event over time, so we want lots of feedback. And maybe we’ll add in other activities in the future.

And we know from Sunday’s service, that Jeff Groen is bringing Cribbage, so come ready to beat Jeff.

What if I’m not really a “game-player?”

There’s no need to be a player, or an expert [like Jeff Groen at Cribbage], or even competitive! You can even skip the games and just hang out. This is supposed to be a low-pressure, fun, relaxed environment, so join in with whatever you’d like, and come and go as you please.

The details:

• Men’s age: 18+

• Starting in November, the 1st Friday of the month, 6:30pm.

Room 200, in November: North Hall in subsequent months.
